Split PDF
Split a PDF into individual single-page files
Splits a PDF either into one file per page, or into specific page ranges you define — useful for pulling a few pages out of a larger document or breaking a multi-page scan into individual files.
How it works
After uploading, choose Split every page for one PDF per page, bundled into a ZIP if there's more than one page, or Custom range to enter something like "1-3, 5, 8-10" and get exactly those page ranges as separate PDFs — a single range downloads directly, multiple ranges come back as a ZIP.
Frequently asked questions
How do I extract just a few specific pages?
Choose Custom range and enter something like "1-3, 5" — that gives you pages 1 through 3 as one PDF and page 5 as another, without needing the whole document split apart.
Why did splitting a one-page PDF just give me the same file back?
There's nothing to split — a single-page PDF in "split every page" mode is already one file per page, so you get the original PDF unchanged rather than a pointless ZIP.
What happens if I enter an invalid page range?
You'll get a specific error — for a page number beyond the document's length, for text that isn't a valid page or range, or for leaving the field empty — rather than a silent failure.
What's the size limit?
100MB per PDF.
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No — reading the page count and splitting both happen locally in your browser using the pdf-lib library.
