UUID Generator

Generate random v4 UUIDs, one or many at once

Generates one or more random UUIDs (v4, standard 36-character format) using your browser's built-in cryptographic API, with a quantity control and a copy-all button.

How it works

Each UUID comes from crypto.randomUUID(), the browser's native implementation of the RFC 4122 v4 UUID standard, so there's no custom randomness logic to get wrong. Changing the quantity or clicking Regenerate produces a fresh batch instantly.

Frequently asked questions

How many UUIDs can I generate at once?

1 to 100 per batch. For anything beyond that, generate a few batches — there's no artificial reason for the cap beyond keeping the output list manageable to read and copy.

Are these UUIDs guaranteed to be unique?

Not mathematically guaranteed, but collision odds are astronomically small — v4 UUIDs pack 122 random bits, so the chance of ever generating a duplicate by accident is effectively zero for any realistic use.

What UUID version does this generate?

Version 4 — the fully random variant, and the most common choice when you just need a unique identifier with no embedded timestamp or namespace.

Can I copy just one UUID instead of the whole list?

The copy button grabs the whole batch at once; to get a single one, select just that line from the list and copy it manually.

Are the generated UUIDs sent anywhere?

No — crypto.randomUUID() runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is transmitted or logged.
