Grayscale & Filters

Apply grayscale, sepia, or invert filters to an image

Applies a grayscale, sepia, or invert filter to an image, with a live preview so you can compare filters before downloading.

How it works

Each filter is a per-pixel calculation done directly on the image's pixel data in your browser: grayscale uses a standard luminance-weighted formula rather than a flat average, so colors convert to realistic-looking brightness; sepia applies the standard sepia color matrix; invert flips each color channel to its opposite. Switching between filters always recomputes from the original image, so trying several in a row never compounds or degrades the result.

Frequently asked questions

Can I apply more than one filter at once, like grayscale and then sepia?

No — each filter is applied independently to the original image, not stacked on top of each other. Switching filters always starts fresh from the source image.

What's the size limit?

100MB per image.

Does the filter affect transparency?

No — these filters only change color values; the alpha/transparency channel is left untouched.

Is the image processed on a server?

No, the filter math runs entirely in your browser on the image's pixel data — nothing is uploaded.

What format is the downloaded file?

The same format you uploaded — filtering a PNG gives you a filtered PNG, and likewise for JPG and WebP.
